dac

"DAC" stands for DISTRICTUS AUSTRIAE CONTROLLATUS and is the legal abbreviation for a particular region-typical quality wine with a protected origin.
Each DAC area in Austria is dedicated to the leading varieties of its region. When it comes to red wine, NEUSIEDLERSEE DAC stands for the authentic and traditional character of the Zweigelt, a relatively young grape variety that was crossed in the 1920s from the Blaufränkisch and the St. Laurent grape varieties already residentiary in the region.
Individually vinified with care, knowledge and passion by each of our over 100 winemakers, quintessential red wines are created - classically vinified or as a Reserve - characterized by their unique origin, the UNESCO World Heritage Neusiedlersee.
