LAKE NEUSIEDL owes its salinity not to an ancient
sea, but to the layers beneath its basin. Formed around 12,000 years ago,
it now acts as a natural climate regulator for the entire region.
With over 2,000 hours of sunshine, a Pannonian climate, and the influence
of the lake, the grapes here ripen under special conditions. Warmth, wind,
and slightly salty humidity give the wines of the Neusiedlersee region
depth, freshness, and origin. A lake that still noticeably shapes the landscape, people,
and wine.
